EAT LESS MORE OFTEN! Work to reduce portion sizes and eat smaller meals more frequently. Awareness is essential and will keep you enjoying your meals without overdoing it. Stick to the one plate rule! This will stabilize blood sugar and improve digestion, while aiding in weight loss and weight management. SPICE UP YOUR LIFE: Try adding spices to your favorite dishes to add a punch of flavor and boost your metabolism. Spices like curry powders, turmeric and cinnamon are great for fighting inflammation and boosting cell health, and Cayenne Pepper is fantastic for adding a little heat to your meals and turning up your metabolism helping you to burn extra calories. Garlic provides protection against cardiovascular disease and it is great for boosting the immune system. Ginger aids in digestion and adds great flavor. The list goes on and on with so many exciting spices to try, great creative with spices and ditch the salt!

READ FOOD LABELS! Be aware of what you are putting into your body, and always read the labels of the products and foods you are consuming. Katie can help you become an educated consumer and teach you the importance of putting high quality, nutritious and natural foods in your body. The less processed, less refined and more natural something is, the better. Take control and be informed!
MOVE MORE! Whether at home, at work or on the go, find a few minutes to get up and move around to get the blood flowing! Take the stairs, walk to work or go for a quick walk after dinner. Find time to get at least 30 min. of activity into each day, it doesn’t have to be all at once either, it can be as simple as doing 5 min. of activity every couple of hours. This will improve digestion and elimination, reduce inflammation, reduce stiffness and boost energy levels.
