Nutrition TIPS To Improve Your Daily Nutrition

  • Color, Color & More Color
  • Drink More Water
  • Eat Less More Often
  • Stop Eating 2 Hours Before Bed
  • Move More
Replace one serving of beige a each meal with a serving of colour ie replace a serving of carbohydrates or starch with a fresh fruit or vegetable- the more colour the better! Fresh fruits and veggies are chalk full of nutrients, antioxidants, fibre and water. You will notice a definite energy boost, improved digestion and elimination!
Drink a glass of water for every 'other' beverage you typically consume (this includes all juices, pop, soda, coffee, or tea).... and if you are a coffee drinker you should be aiming for 2 glasses of water for every cup of coffee. You will notice a shift in your drinking habits, and you will start to reach for a glass of water more often! This will hydrate your skin and keep you looking young, as well help improve digestion, reduce inflammation, and speed up elimination. We are made of water and simply can't get enough.
Work to reduce portion sizes and eat smaller meals more frequently. This will stabilize blood sugar and improve digestion, while aiding in weight loss and weight management.
You should aim to have you last snack 1 1/2 -2 hours before bed to give you body enough time to digest. If you go to sleep with a full stomach, your body can not finish digesting your food which hinders digestion and elimination, as well as blood sugar regulation.
Wherever you are, whether it be at home, at work or on the go- find a few minutes to get up and move around- get the blood flowing! Take the stairs, walk to work or to the store. If you can, find time to get at least 30 min of activity in each day. This will improve digestion and elimination, reduce inflammation, reduce stiffness and boost energy levels.

We have heard it before - YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. However, in today's fast-paced society, this simple statement is even more important. Putting food into your body is like putting fuel in your car. If you put the incorrect formula in the engine, it will not run properly. If you eat 'poorly' and are missing nutrients, you are putting inferior fuel in your body and it will not function properly. Start each day with a promise to yourself to put the very best fuel into your body that you can. Put the focus on NATURAL, ALIVE and GOOD QUALITY foods each and every day to treat your body as you would that fine-tuned, expensive sports car!
